Through the partnership, the organizations will work to develop and encourage event volunteers and debut the County’s first ever aid station on the marathon course. “As a longtime resident of Cleveland’s Edgewater neighborhood, I’ve enjoyed a front row seat to the marathon and all it brings to Cuyahoga County,” said County Executive Chris Ronayne. “This is what my vision of a Healthy Cuyahoga is all about. We’re bringing together residents, showcasing this region to people from across the country, and delivering on the promise of what a green city on a blue lake can provide. I’m excited to explore all the ways the County can elevate this race as a true regional asset and inspire more people to join in the fun.” “We’re excited to partner with the County and to see them out cheering on and aiding runners on the course,” said Race Director Ralph Staph. “We simply could not put on this race each year without the incredible work of our volunteers, who care so much about this race. The County is going to be an invaluable partner engaging and expanding this critical element of our event.” Registration is open for the 48th University Hospitals Cleveland Marathon which will welcome runners back to The Land for race weekend, May 17-18, 2025.
