Union Home Mortgage Cleveland Marathon Announces Partnership with Don Basch Jewelers; GOJO Industries and Dole Packaged Foods LLC Set to Return as Product Partners

CLEVELAND - (Feb. 2, 2022) — The Union Home Mortgage Cleveland Marathon announced today that local, family-owned Don Basch Jewelers has been named the Official Jeweler for the event.

Established three years after the first Cleveland Marathon, Don Basch Jewelers has been providing Northeast Ohioans with exceptional service and high-quality products since 1979.

“When you become a Don Basch Jewelers customer, you become part of the Don Basch Jewelers family,” said Denise Basch, the late wife of Don and mother of five.

“The Basch family has long been participants of the Cleveland Marathon and their motto of ‘Make Every Moment Count’ fits well with our goal of making every runner’s moment count perfectly,” said Ralph Staph, Union Home Mortgage Cleveland Marathon Race Director. “We are proud to welcome them as the Official Jeweler and are excited about this partnership.”

Returning as consecutive-year product partners are GOJO Industries and Dole Packaged Foods. All participants will again receive a 2-oz. bottle of PURELL® Hand Sanitizer from GOJO Industries in their goody bag at the Health and Fitness Expo, presented by University Hospitals. Additional PURELL® Hand Sanitizer will be available throughout the start/finish areas and elsewhere on the course.

“We are proud to have great events like the Cleveland Marathon in Northeast Ohio and are excited to make sure race participants have access to PURELL® Hand Sanitizer on such an important day,” said Ray Hancart, Strategic Communications, Vice President, GOJO Industries.

After running long distances, it is important for runners to receive a variety of recovery products. Among those offerings will again be Dole Fruit Bowls in 100% Juice.

“Dole Packaged Food LLC is proud to partner with the Union Home Mortgage Cleveland Marathon weekend of events, and we look forward to seeing all the participants at the finish,” said Marc Bessinger, Dole Running Program Coordinator.

The race is set to return in the spring and is scheduled for May 21 and 22 with the Health and Fitness Expo to take place on May 20 and 21 at the Huntington Convention Center of Cleveland.
