Maria, was my cousin, so this foundation [Prayers From Maria] has a special place in my heart. I am a mother now and I can’t imagine losing one of my two children to this terrible disease. No parent should ever have to go through that. Throughout the years I have been able to see the tremendous impact Prayers From Maria has been able to make in funding research for a cure for childhood cancer. I am running to help in raise more funds and awareness for this incredibly important cause."
